Every girl has that one person she can totally trust about her first crush, about that boy next door, about that girl who was trying to steal her future boyfriend and about her secrets. That person is called BESTFRIEND.
Malyn and I have been friends since first year highschool. We were on the same group of friends. Back then, we never labeled each other as bestfriends. (I don't even remember when we started calling each other bestfriends. I guess it started as a mutual feeling - that gut feeling that tells you "this is person is worth to be part of your life.")
Malyn and I shared the same memories during our highschool years. She knows all about my crushes and vice versa. We never judged each others flaws. We are two totally different person. She's the athletic type of person. I was the Maria Clara. She plays volleyball. I read novels. She's very outspoken. I am very soft spoken. She watches basketball games.I do scrapbooks. While I dressed myself in girly clothes; she dressed herself in jeans and tees. She cooks, I eat. haha!
Our differences doesn't stop us from being friends to being the best of friends. We never run out of things to talk about. We like to watch movies, do house parties, eat and bond with our group of friends. We've been friends for more than 10 years and just like any friends, we've been to that kind of phase where we fight with each other. But, I assure you those are petty fights that would last for 30 minutes and then were back to our awesome selves again (and that was during our highschool years).
Malyn celebrates her 24th birthday last March 28. I wasn't there on her special day but I know I'll make it up to her some other time. But first, let me dedicate this blog post to her.
Let me share to you our friendship:
It has been a great journey with her by my side. I can tell her all my problems and all the non sense things that runs my mind. She listens. Looking for another years of friendship! We will load up good memories together. Thank you bez for sticking to me especially on my retarded days :) Now, she's on her road to another journey of her life - being a mother. I'll be by her side watching her raise her daughter and telling her "bez you are doing it all wrong!" haha! kidding aside, I know she'll be a great Mom!
Happy Birthday, Bez! I'll be your forever "kikay" bestfriend! Love you to bits! :)
