Travel: Weekends at North

We seldom do this. Ooops! Scratch that, we NEVER did this. Me and my highschool friends always spend our summer together at 9Waves. We stay there overnight and we go home with happy faces. But that WAS our summer during our teenage?college years. So this is something new for us and we are all excited about our weekend (Feb 18-19, 2012) getaway. Zambales here we come! This was Faye and my pre-birthday celebration :) (She celebrates her birthday on the 21st of February; I celebrate my birthday on the 22nd)
I didn't know what to pack 'cause I had no idea what will we be doing on our getaway and how long will we be there so I just pack all my essentials.
Faye was in Zambales so the 5 of us travelled from QC to Zambales :)
Breakfast at Mcdo Pampanga
Stopover
What I love about out of town trips are the feeling of stressing yourself about the things to pack, roadtrip and stopovers. We left QC at around 4.30AM and arrived at Faye's house around 9AM. We went to the market first to buy foods.
Faye's house
Faye's family were very hospitable to let us stay in their home. They cooked lunch and dinner for us. We were very comfortable at their house. We got to bond and play with Milo.
First stop: ZOOBIC SAFARI. As we were finding our way to Zoobic Safari, we were so lucky to see monkeys and bats on our way.  We stop to take photos.
Girls just wanna have fun!
The KJs :D
We arrived in Zoobic Safari at 3.30PM and we are so worried when we saw that they are open until 5PM only. Good thing they will finish the tour once we were inside.
Before you start your tour, they will have your picture taken. First is the formal pose (the one we bought) and  the other one is tiger look (the one we just took a picture of).
Done with our first tour, and we look so tired.
We have to ride this cute bus to see all the attractions.
My bestest friends. Look at Faye, Eury and Bry who were trying to fit at the background.

Animals that we saw.
We felt so young seeing animals, reading trivia and taking photos. Zoobic Safari is <3. Not just for kids but for family and friends who wanted to bond and have fun!
We were supposed to visit Tree Top Adventure as well but it's late already. We left Zoobic Safari around 6PM. It will take us more than an hour to get to Faye's house so we decided to have dinner in Subic. It took us too many turns to finally found PIER ONE. Candlelight dinner, live bands and good ambiance - we will definitely visit this place again.

Post-valentine date :)

Live bands
Pier One was more fun because of their live bands. Ian wrote a letter to the singers to have me and faye be greeted. Sweet! It sure is fun to listen to their bands. A night to remember!
Fruit shakes to end the night
We got at Faye's around 11PM. We took a shower and prepare the foods for tomorrow so we got on bed around 2AM and woke up at 5AM. To ANAWANGIN COVE we go! We had to go to the beach very early for the morning breeze. When we arrived at Kuya Rene's house, our banker, he told us that the waves are big but we still took our chances. The view from the boat is breathtaking!
We didn't get the chance to visit Capones Island because of the big waves.

We had our breakfast first.
Time to explore the island.

When you want to go to Anawangin by boat it will take you 20-30 minutes. When you want more adventure, you can go to the island by trekking which will take you 3-4 hours.
We got sunburned. We are tired. We spent our savings. But, we definitely had fun! We enjoyed our two-days-vacay and are looking forward to the next one.
Highschool friends are there to bring joy and memories into our life. I love them!
